Exhibits, Gallery Shows & Awards: Artist's Journal Fine Art Fair Schedule 2008 Memento Chai, a solo exhibit of Jewish art created for and published in the Women of Reform Judaism 2008-09 Art Calendar. Central Reform Congregation, 5020 Waterman, St. Louis. Artist reception on August 16, 7-9. Through the Eyes of a Child, Missouri Adoption Heart Gallery, May - November 2008. The project travels the state to promote and encourage adoptions for children in foster care who can not safely return home. It will be in St. Louis from September through November. See full schedule here. The Heart Gallery is an exhibit of professional fine art portraits of Missouri children who are awaiting adoption. It is a volunteer project of professional portrait and fine art photographers. Jeane was asked to produce professional fine art portraits of 9 children this year. This installment includes works created by members of the Louisiana chapter of WCA who have survive3d and continue to b affected by Hurricane Katrina, and work created by members of the hosting chapter (St. Louis WCA) in response to their imagery. Juror is Willie Osterman, Professor of Photography in the Fine Art Photography program at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. Solo exhibit of Hand-Altered Polaroid images. Voices Within: Surviving Through the Arts, January 16 - March 5, 2005, St. Louis Artists Guild. Juried into the national exhibit was Walking a Sacred Path. Voices Within is a national, all media, slide-juried competition featuring work related to the health and well-being of women. This exhibition is organized in conjunction with the exhibition Inside Out Loud: Visualizing Women’s Health in Contemporary Art, on display at the Kemper Art Museum, Washington University, January 21 to April 24, 2005. The juror is Katherine Sherwood, Professor of Art Practice at the University of California, Berkeley. Journeys of the Mind, January 16 - March 5, 2005, St. Louis Artists Guild. Juried in this all media, national, slide-juried exhibit were Reflection in a Frozen River and Pensive.
