Artist's Statement on the Old Souls exhibit Old Souls is a series of interpretative portrait studies on hand-altered SX-70 Polaroid film – a medium that encourages us to see past reality to bring an alternative vision of the world into focus. These are not formal, intended portraits, but captured essences – thoughtful souls. Each subject is offering us a glimpse into the unimagined depths of a very personal, and often hidden, truth. I am honored to be allowed to share them. It is a series in progress. More images will be added through 2007. Images from the Old Souls series are exhibited and sold through galleries and this site.
